Deciding to try a new church can be intimidating. We’d like to help you feel comfortable before you even get in the door. Here’s a little of what you can expect when you come to Bethel:

Come as you are

Dress comfortably. One thing you’ll notice is that we’re a very diverse church. You’ll feel right at home whether you’re wearing jeans and a t-shirt, or you’re in traditional “Sunday Best.”

We’re a downtown church on Rochester’s eclectic and energetic East End. The city’s inner loop project is right outside our door, so although this year construction is part of life around Bethel, you should have no problems accessing our several free parking lots.

Parking Welcome

As you enter our parking lot(s), you will be greeted by our friendly Parking Team Members. This team serves to direct you, and help ensure a timely and efficient traffic flow before and after service. Click HERE for a map of our parking lots, entrances and our floorplan.

Signs are located around the building to help you navigate. Our Children’s Wing is in the brick Administrative Building with it’s entrance on Anson Place. A receptionist is there to help answer any questions. Our Service is in the Main Sanctuary where ushers/greeters are happy to help.

Our services are typically between 90 minutes and two hours, and begin at 10:00am.

What can you expect from the service itself? Our praise and worship time is contemporary and free-spirited. We encourage personal expression in worship, and you’ll see a variety of styles both on the platform and in the congregation. No matter how you worship, we invite you to come and worship with us.

Recognizing that everything we have belongs to God, we honor Him through our tithes and offerings every Sunday. Visitors are our guests, and while you are welcome to join our weekly giving party, please don’t feel obligated to participate.

The Message

Bethel’s Leadership Team has been called to equip you to be a minister of the Gospel, a mature follower of Christ, so that you can bring the culture of Heaven to Earth. We believe that God wants to reveal Himself to you because it will be through you that His purposes will be fulfilled. Therefore each week you will hear truth from the Word of God, giving you hope and inspiration, relevant to your life.

hqdefaultBethel is a bit different, with testimonies every week and guest speakers rather often. You can watch past services online or watch live this Sunday at 10:00am.

ASL Interpretation is available.

After the Service

Each week following the service, visitors are invited to a Meet & Greet time over by the Get Connected Center, to give you an opportunity to learn more about Bethel. Also after church, many of our folks head up the back stairs to enjoy our Aviv Cafe & Gallery for Fellowship Hour. Goods are available for purchase, starting at $1.
