Worship is not about singers or a band. Worship is a lifestyle that is lived out loud through every moment that God gives us. It’s the conversation that we are always in with a Creator who accepts us and loves us. His word tells us to worship in Spirit and Truth. This suggests that there is no separation between Worship and the Word (the Bible). At Bethel, you will find a time of worship that is infused with declarations, testimonies and scripture reading. Then, during the teacher’s message you’ll often experience musical and other expressions of worship – this is unity in worship.
Worship is a unifying time that corporately lifts the name of Jesus Christ. Then, we are sent out to proclaim the Name above all names as apostles, prophets, ministers, evangelists and teachers – worshiping as we go. Our soul should cry out to be overwhelmed by the love of God which overflows into our love for others.
Psalm 40:3 “He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him.”
